Students involved in ASE will have a play time and snack time. They will also be involved in homework help and enrichment activities. Students that are not picked up by 3:15 p.m. from school will automatically go to the ASE program and will be charged accordingly. Parents will fill out an ASE form upon picking up their child(ren) for the first time from ASE with pertinent information. Parents will sign their child out when they pick them up each day.
Fees and Hours....
$65 per week (15 hours per week) or
$5 per hour
Students enrolling in the full-time program will save $10 per week. Students not enrolled in the full-time program will be charged $5 per hour. Parents will receive a statement monthly for the previous month’s balance. The charges will be totaled according to the hours the child participated in the program. Families will be given fifteen days to remit payment. Any student’s account that becomes one month past due will not be allowed to return to the program until the past due amount is paid in full.
There will be a late fee for any student not picked up by 6:00 p.m. A late fee of $5.00 will be applied for every 15 minutes period past 6:00 p.m. If students are picked up after 6:00 p.m. more than three times, they will be asked to find other arrangements. Our fees are minimal to cover personnel and for providing snacks, materials and activities for the children.
Students involved in ASE will begin with an opportunity to play off some energy. Students will spend approximately 30 minutes at play either in the gym or outside (weather permitting). After play time, snacks will be provided by WCS. Please let the program director know if your child is allergic to any foods or if there are foods they are not allowed to eat. Following snack time, students will usually spend time in an upstairs classroom. This will be time for students to work on homework or play quietly. It is the parent’s responsibility to contact their child’s classroom teacher and ask them to let the director know if a student staying in after school has homework. Sometimes the student may forget they have homework or simply not want to do it and there is no way for the director to know if a child has homework without contact from the teacher. Videos approved by WCS may be shown occasionally at the director’s discretion.
Parents should make sure they have the telephone number of the ASE Program director so contact can be made in case of an emergency or the parent is running late.
