Chapel is one way we incorporate Biblical teachings and instill Biblical values into our students. Every Thursday morning, we gather to sing, dance, praise God, and learn more about Him. Week to week varies as far as the topic or the speaker, but we consistently use this 30 minutes to help our students engage and experience the living and life-changing God.
We have even taken chapel off-site to the Woodford County Senior Citizens Center to worship with the people there.
Once a year near the beginning of school, we go on an off-site retreat just for our students. Our older grades have an overnight experience of worship, games and fellowship time. The rest of the school joins them the next day for a time of school-wide group building through activities and games.
We call these "world-changing opportunities." We seek ways to change the worlds of people in our community, our state, our country and other nations. Our goal is to teach our students that they can be world-changers today by purchasing a new outfit for a student in Harlan County, singing a Christmas song to a senior or packing a meal for a family in Haiti.
